HA5801-1000 Hyperlink Amplifier is a 5.8 GHz outdoor amplifier for 802.11a wireless LANs. It is compatible with IEEE 802.11a OFDM radios as well as radios using Direct Sequence or Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum modulation.

HA5801-1000 Hyperlink Amplifier is a fixed gain amplifier with up to 1 W or +30 dBm of output power. The gain is fixed at the factory at +10 dB for TX and 12 dB for Rx. The receive gain compensates for cable losses and actually increases the receive sensitivity of most wireless LAN radios. This feature permits long cable runs with no degradation in operating range. Since this is a outdoor amplifier it can improve range and reliability by placing up to full transmit power as well as 12 dB of receive gain directly at the antenna where it is most effective.

Designed for outdoor installations, the Hyperlink Amplifier HA5801-1000 features rugged weatherproof construction to ensure years of reliable operation in the harshest environments. Included with this model, the DC Power Injector provides power to the amplifier through the antenna cable, simplifying installation. Current-sensing circuits provide remote amplifier diagnostic LEDs. In addition, this unit provides effective lightning protection with multi-strike capability.

Note:
This Hyperlink bi-directional amplifier is designed for burst half-duplex operation. It is not intended for constant transmit or CW operation. Operation of the amplifier in CW mode will damage the amplifier and void the warranty.
